Future Business

A keen interest in how social systems and business will interact in the future led to the development of new teaching on Future Business. There I bring together several disciplinary approaches areas to understand how developments in technology, demography and growth, living standards, globalization and emerging markets, political and media organizations will change the face of business. Two recurring themes are the interaction between market and non-market strategies and the role of data, behavior, and stories in formulating effective strategies.


I lecture on the topic and currently teach Future Business at the Lisbon MBA and the pre-experience Masters in management, finance, and economics.  A representative syllabus is available here.
